Outreach and Advocacy
Increasing and raising our level of exposure is very important to reaching more families and brain injury survivors, and is key to increasing the awareness of the needs of the brain injury community and hopefully affecting system changes.В В
We are ready, willing and able to speak to any gathering, organization, school, social service club, or provide in-service training to any public or private entity. We can tailor our presentation to any situation – be it a 1/2 hour or a 1/2 day. Our brain injury survivors tell a compelling story of courage, motivation, compassion, and our in-service trainings are educational and based on best practices.
Outreach, public speaking and in-services and trainings inform the public about lawful accommodations and insure that brain injury survivors are treated with dignity. Providers learn more about working with survivors of brain injury as they return to their home community, and our prevention programs stress responsible behavior.
