Our History

The Brain Injury Center began when ten survivors and their families gathered on a Friday night for a pot luck dinner, games, and networking. Today, over 300 people are actively involved in a growing network to reach out and aid survivors in recovery to the greatest extent possible. The Brain Injury Center of Ventura County is a non-profit organization of people with brain injuries, their families, friends, caregivers and service providers working together to provide education, advocacy, and socialization for those affected by brain injury. Since 1998, we have been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
